My new Wildlife albums page

Having had a tidy up of some of my photos I've (for now) completed sorting most of my wildlife pictures into albums on Google Photos. The above page links them all.

Doing this has made me want to travel more to photograph whales and Dolphins, Hummingbirds and other exotic species. Africa for a big game and wild bird safari, Costa Rica, Tobago for jungle and more hummingbirds, Dominican Republic and South Africa for whales. So we need to save up and hope we stay healthy enough to travel in our old age eh?

Very sad to see the hurricane devastation in parts of the Caribbean we visited last December, Dominica where we whale watched with an enthusiastic young dive school,  French Martinique for hummingbirds in the pouring rain, Guadeloupe for reef fish and giant lizards by the roadside in trees and The British Virgin Islands where we found a delightful tiny local park particularly spring to mind.

Hi all,

Having paused to update Colin's website at I've found time to finish off my tidy up of my own little place in the web at

I've created a number of wildlife collections from holidays and walks home and abroad. Lots more to do. I've not even started on domestic birds and flowers BUT they are in my walks albums as you well know. Sorry if I'm boring anyone.

Links to many Google Photo albums have been moved to relevant pages. Do remember that you can download photos from any of these if you wish or indeed add the albums to your own Google Photos collections, all free with gmail which is rather nice. These albums also show better on the multitude of screens that people have these days from smart phones to tablets to laptops and PC's, all with different shape and resolution screens! My web software is now obsolete and it is hard to keep up with all this technically! must be getting old. You can see why kids are being taught coding at school now eh?

Off to Norfolk for a day or so at Colin's including Trish's birthday, love to all

Website updated

Bill Barnes web site updated with link to photos and videos of Lucy's 30th Birthday garden party. Great fun for very young and not so young!

Tuesday, 29 August 2017 updated

Hi all, my web site at has been updated to tidy family and friends pics to the People Page. This also has a link to my updated album at the foot of the page of old Barnes Family photos to enjoy. More to come when I get around to it.

I've also sorted out many of the links to Google Photo Albums on the Home page to make them a little easier to find. if you haven't joined an album and added to your own Google Photo Album shares this is the easiest way to look for them. I think.

All best viewed on a computer or a tablet rather than a phone. My software and skills aren't entirely up to smart phones any more. sorry!

Northumberland next with hopefully some nice weather for photos.

Thursday, 30 March 2017 updated links

Hi to all,

I've updated links on my Home Page to many of my Google Photo

Do let me know if any links don't work for you.

If you want to join albums of our grandson George you will have to ask as i don't like posting them open on the web.

We're off to Colin's next week to enjoy Norfolk weather permitting along with dogs.

We're off to Madeira late may to hopefully do some more whale and dolphin watching along with fine food, beautiful scenery and gardens and a little culture at the nearby theatre and in jazz and fado bars.

Winter Walks...

A new album that will feature photos my day to day winter walks mostly in our local park. Still trying to get close enough for a good photo of the kestrel that vole watches high in a fir tree in  the park though. Google Photo album 'Winter Walks'
